SG Vezhen Hotel

The food was the same every day during our seven-day stay, bland, old-tasting, and without spices. Service was awful, and the staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming. The website claimed there was a spa, sauna, and sports facilities, but none were there. There were no hotel activities either, so it was very boring. The area around the hotel stank, there was trash everywhere, and getting to the beach meant walking a long way. Our room was dirty, with a rusty, moldy shower head and door, spider webs, and a smell of cigarettes and other substances. Never visit this hotel. It was an almost sub-human experience.

We had trouble with our Booking.com reservation, but the reception staff were extremely kind and gave us a lot of help. We really appreciated their support and hospitality. Thank you, Vezhen Hotel!

The grounds were a highlight, with green space, lovely trees, flowers, fruit trees, palms, and a pool in the middle. The pool was decent, though it could have been cleaned a little more. The rooms were spacious and clean, and the food and drinks were tasty, good, and plentiful. The scenery and location were gorgeous, even better than the pictures, and beat every beach hotel, hands down. There were plenty of staff, and they were super nice and helpful. The lady manager was especially generous and lovely. Our group of six arrived after dinner, with some of us getting there at 24:00, so we expected no food. But the manager arranged for food to be prepared anyway, and dinner was served on the terrace for three more people arriving after closing. We were all inclusive, and they also gave us free internet. It was my birthday, and they helped arrange things by the pool. The manager even gave me a gift. We had a wonderful stay and will surely come back!

The food was tasty with a big selection, though I missed having coffee outside breakfast and the afternoon snack, and there were no drinks after 10 o'clock. And for God's sake, don't drink too much Bulgarian flag! :D The hotel is on a hill, about five minutes from the beach, and it's quite old. For the price, though, it's a really great option. Don't let the exterior or reception put you off. The rooms are big, nice, and always clean. Ask for the fourth floor or higher, since below that you'll only see trees, while above the forest the view is magical.
