The old historic house has narrow, steep stairs, so keep that in mind if you’ve got huge luggage. Its location is the best part, and the common space is cute and thoughtfully done. Each room has its own style, giving the place a bit more character than a typical hotel. The beds are a little small, and although the sheets and towels were clean, they were worn and need replacing. The wool blankets shed, and I’d have preferred something more modern. The pillows were terrible. The stay wasn’t a complete disappointment, but I’ll choose somewhere else next time.
