Hotel Play

For the price, it was a good-value room, with friendly and helpful staff and clean, decent accommodation. The central lobby has a kettle, ironing facilities and a fridge for perishables. I would have preferred a kettle and fridge in my room, though.

Restaurants, cafes and shops are all around, and it's fairly easy to get to since the hotel is just before the hill starts. The main tourist attractions are within walking distance too. Rooms are spacious, tidy and clean. There's no fridge or coffee pot in each room, but both are shared in the lobby.

The hotel is well placed for visiting the main sights of Veliko-Tarnovo. The rooms are large, lovely and very clean.

We had a nice room in a great location, but the band playing in the middle of the night kept us awake. With such thin walls, we could hear the music and the singer screaming for hours. I'm definitely not booking there again.
