Family Hotel Hebar

We stayed four days and barely saw another guest. The place felt abandoned, despite all the nice seating areas around the grounds, and there was no family atmosphere at all. The only things that kept us there were the beautiful view and fresh air. I waited a week to write this, so I could cool down and reflect on our stay at „Family Hotel Spa Hebar“. The cook was the kindest person on staff, and everything from the grill was delicious. The breakfast omelette was great too. The hotel itself looks like the photos, is well maintained, and has nicely furnished rooms. But that doesn’t make up for the rest. At check-in, the receptionist barely responded to our questions and was so rude it felt like we’d offended her by booking. No “please,” “thank you,” or “you’re welcome.” Since she was apparently handling reception, the restaurant, and the SPA, the poor management was hard to miss. The „SPA“ is nicely designed, but there’s also fitness equipment in the same area, and the jacuzzi was broken for our whole stay. Nobody tried to fix it. You had to ask for the sauna to be turned on, and we had several arguments about its opening hours even though we’d been told there was no limit. Laundry bags sat in the hallway for days without anyone dealing with them. It felt like the hotel was all about laundry, while taking your money without providing service or effort. NOT AT ALL RECOMMENDED!

The spa area is small, but really lovely, with a breathtaking view. The hotel is clean and cozy, and the staff are friendly. The menu is short and the food is good. The view from the place is amazing, and I’d definitely visit again with the kids.

We came for lunch with my family, but the waiter was shockingly rude. As we were about to sit down, he said we had to pay upfront. Then, less than ten minutes after we ordered, he came back to ask if we wanted anything else, even though both the restaurant and our table were quite far away. I won’t return or recommend this place.

The view is great, but the hotel doesn’t meet the standard you’d expect for the price. It looks somewhat run-down and poorly cared for. The restaurant food was disappointing, though breakfast was fine, and the spa wasn’t appealing. We also had brown water coming out in the bathroom.
