Hotel "Vitosha"

The pools were a highlight. They both have mineral water, which felt pleasant and therapeutic for different health conditions. The large pool is 25 meters long, good for swimming, and 28°C. The smaller circular one is 38°C, nice for soaking while looking at the green scenery. There’s a bar and restaurant by the pools for drinks and food. The location is also great, about a 10 minute walk from the center of Velingrad. Our room and balcony were spacious, the bathroom renovated and clean, and the sheets and towels were clean and snow-white. Even the shower and tap water are mineral water. The receptionist was very welcoming, and there’s a wide enough parking area. For the money, I think what you get is more than awesome. The room wasn’t luxurious at this price. The door, window frames, and TV were quite old-school, there was no fridge, and the carpet had stains. The building has a socialist-era feel. Breakfast was basic, but acceptable for the price.

Simple, clean, and surprisingly comfortable beds. The pool area is excellent, with a little restaurant and bar. Good value for money, and the staff were really friendly.

The hotel looks old, but it was very clean. There are two pools: one smaller pool with hot mineral water, and a larger one with mineral water at a normal temperature. It’s 1.4 m deep at one end and goes down to 1.8 m. The staff were really nice and helpful. Since my father uses a wheelchair, they always kept a parking space for us and gave us the information we needed. There’s also an outdoor bar where you can order food or coffee.

The breakfast was a joke, with no choice and no information about ingredients. The pools were old and badly maintained, and there was no grass like in the picture. The staff weren’t maintaining the outdoor area at all. On the first day they turned off the water, saying there was engineering work. On the last day, the power went out only in our room, and they blamed the storm without offering a fix. The building is old, with worn wallpaper in the rooms and torn curtains. The door to our kids’ room was broken, but the hotel refused to fix it or move us. When I tried to explain that these conditions weren’t normal, the receptionist said we had chosen unrenovated rooms, whatever that means. Our friends were supposedly in renovated rooms, but their carpet was dirty and worn out just like ours. This wasn’t a hotel or guest house as described, and it had no facilities for hosting guests. Everything was poor.
