The Grove Resort Bahrain

I can’t recommend this hotel for leisure or any other kind of stay. The service from staff was disrespectful, especially from Wael and Mohamed at reception. Messages and requests went unanswered, and calls to the front office were never picked up. We had been trying to extend our stay since 11 Am, but Wael didn’t answer even though he was walking around the reception. He was doing nothing apart from shouting on the phone and frightening other guests. Management needs to look seriously at service standards, which seem not to exist, and find a solution regarding both employees I mentioned. A basic emotional intelligence course might help them, since they currently show none.

The waitress Mr. Alaa Mohammed was so kind, generous, and helpful throughout my visit. His positive attitude and attention to detail made an already welcoming and comfortable experience even better. I really enjoyed Avindar Lounge, from the atmosphere to the excellent service. I’ll definitely come back and recommend it to others.

The check-in process takes around 30 minutes every time, and the reception is another problem. The Supervisor and his manager, who are Egyptian nationals, were very disrespectful and seemed to serve only a specific type of clientele. Security was extremely uptight, repeatedly asking for the names of people entering even though all our CPRs had been submitted to reception and copied. The hotel also lacks the most basic amenities. The service was extremely bad, and I don’t think it deserves a 4 star rating. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The noise next door went on until 1:00 AM and became so disruptive that we had to call the police. For a resort where guests expect peace and relaxation, that level of noise was unacceptable. We were assigned a villa beside another villa hosting a loud event, even though management knew about the event booking and other villas were available. It seems like an administrative mistake that proper planning could have avoided. The experience showed little consideration for guest comfort and poor management, and didn’t meet even basic hospitality standards. I wouldn’t recommend Grove Resort in Bahrain unless it improves its booking management and noise control policies.
