Al Andalus Plaza Hotel

The room looked elegant, was clean, and was excellent, while the reception staff greeted us warmly. They were a little stingy with soap and shampoo, and there was no complimentary water, coffee, or tea. Still, for the price, I'd recommend it and rate it very well.

The duty hotel manager was the worst part, very rude and leaving guests waiting for hours before they could check out. Staff in general were rude too. Food arrived cold every time and wasn't good, and the WiFi barely worked because guests had to log in repeatedly. The location is terrible, far from facilities our service members might need. A truly awful stay. I'd recommend any other hotel in Bahrain.

There isn't a convenience store nearby, which was the only drawback I noticed. Otherwise, the hotel sits in a quiet area with the shopping district within walking distance. My room was clean and pleasant, and the bathroom was large with a bathtub. The staff were friendly and could all communicate in English, including the cleaning staff. There's also a small indoor pool, a sauna, a gym, and laundry service.

For somewhere to sleep and freshen up while you're out most of the day, this place works, and it's close to a lot of popular spots. It's a three-star hotel, which says a lot, though I've stayed in other three-star places that gave me more for my money.
