City Point Hotel

I’m a tour guide, so I pay attention to how guests are treated. I’ve made three trips to Bahrain in one month and stayed at City point hotel. The hospitality exceeded what I expected. The staff are friendly, smile warmly, and pay attention to requests. My room was quiet and always clean, and the facilities had everything guests need. The location adds to the appeal, just a few steps from the main tourist attraction, the local market. Mr. Sudeep, the manager, is a gentleman who looks after guests’ needs and comfort. Ask for Mr. Sudeep when booking if you have special requirements. Whether you travel for business or as a tourist, alone or with family, you’ll be happy here. I ended up without a hotel room after City Point Hotel failed to follow through. I booked and paid through hotels.com, and received confirmation that the booking was non-refundable. Then City Point contacted me saying there was a problem, they didn’t work with hotels.com, and my reservation wasn’t valid. They told me to cancel and book on their website instead. I explained it was non-refundable, but they said not to worry and offered a discount if I paid them directly. I spent the whole morning asking hotels.com for a refund because the hotel wouldn’t honor the booking. They eventually agreed. I then messaged City Point to ask what discount they could offer, but they read it and never replied. The customer service was horrible, and now I have to find another hotel.

Stars aside, the staff were lovely, polite, and incredibly helpful, including the receptionist. I had flu symptoms, and they offered me tea and tried to support me while I was ill. Thank you.

With the night club and all that noise, this hotel isn’t suitable for families. If you have kids, don’t stay here. They won’t be able to sleep at night.
