The pools and beach were fantastic, and the hotel is an attractive building in a handy central Manama location, close to everything. We had such a great weekend in Bahrain and would definitely come back. We arrived late on Thursday night and were welcomed warmly. The staff were kind, helpful, and attentive, and we loved our room. We were very well looked after, and no request felt like too much. Gerard especially stood out. He was friendly, efficient, and understanding, and whenever we needed something he got it sorted right away. We're very grateful to him and the whole team for such an amazing stay. I'd give it 10000/10 if I could!

We found a cockroach waiting to say goodbye when we left 🥲. The apartment also wasn't clean, with visible stains on the walls, and basic things were missing. We had to ask three times for slippers, despite paying around 450,-. Breakfast and late check-out were offered, but that didn't make up for the poor hygiene or the inconvenience. Especially disappointing on our honeymoon. Wouldn't recommend.

The apartment worked well for our family of six, including four young kids. Our three-bedroom place had plenty of room, and when kitchen items like silverware, a cutting knife, a spatula, or coffee mugs were missing, housekeeping brought them quickly. They clean the kitchen daily, which is needed since there are no cleaning supplies. The big clean pool, small kids' pool, friendly lifeguards, and poolside service were all good. The beach is a one-minute walk, but the setup was a letdown. Azul, the nightclub next to the hotel, has lots of sun chairs for a fee, while the hotel has just six free chairs. That was enough for us because the kids liked playing in the sand and we could always find a seat, though I can imagine those six filling up in some seasons. The food and drink choices were typical and, to me, overpriced, though that's what I'd expect at a resort. One thing really wasn't acceptable: my wife booked a wax treatment and was shocked by how it was done. It felt unsanitary, and she had to tell the worker to stop halfway through because it was so painful. I was surprised by the number of negative reviews posted during the same week we stayed in September. Our stay was satisfactory overall.

The room smelled bad, especially the bathroom. On the beach, two African security men spoke to me rudely and were very impolite during our discussion. The Arab security man, though, was polite and kind, and sorted out the misunderstanding. I also want to thank the Ethiopian girl working on the beach. She was cheerful, kind, always smiling, and apologized to us for the mistake her fellow security men made.
