I arrived exhausted after a frustrating trip, and the heat wasn't helping. The shuttle driver was really friendly and lifted my mood on the ride from the airport. The guards and reception guys greeted me with such happy, welcoming faces too. A few minutes after I got to my room, they brought me a very cold pineapple drink. That little touch changed everything. They put real thought into looking after guests, and for that, Benin Royal Hotel gets all the stars.

I enjoyed my stay in this beautiful hotel, but there were a few problems. The bathroom water pressure was so low that bathing was a nightmare, and the room hadn't been cleaned thoroughly. They were stingy with the supplies too, so I had to ask for toilet paper, soap, water, and other replacements. The gym wasn't maintained well and was hardly cleaned, and its washroom was an eyesore.

The top-floor pool and the ambience were especially lovely, and I thought the range of meals was decent. The place was neat, with thoughtful details and courteous, helpful staff. It was worth every CFA I spent. Thanks to the whole Benin Royal Hotel team. Una well done!

After a long day touring ouidah, I checked in and liked the hotel almost right away. The fifth-floor pool area was a favorite, with a great view and fresh air, and there was a restaurant beside it. My room was very clean and well kept. The surroundings were peaceful and comfortable, and I enjoyed my stay. I'll definitely come back whenever I'm in Benin.

The place is cosy and very nice, with a beautiful room, a plush fifth-floor swimming pool, and a stunning restaurant on the first floor. But the lady receptionist was rude and arrogant. I experienced her awful attitude when I checked in with my tourism team on the 11th of May, 2019.
