The one person who made my stay bearable was Jean. He was extremely helpful, took me around for a day of tourism, dealt with a problem involving the police, arranged my laundry, and helped me at the pharmacy with an injury. If the rest of the staff were like him, this hotel could work and earn five stars. The rest of the experience was awful. I booked on booking.com, but on arrival they put me in a different room with a fan instead of air conditioning and charged more. There were cockroaches and plenty of bugs biting me all night. For the following day I made another booking on booking.com, but they wouldn't match its price when I showed it to them. I said they could move my bags. When I returned that evening, they told me they'd sold the room I'd reserved and I should stay in the first room, which cost 40% more than my booking said. I refused, so they put me in a room infested with bats. It smelled of bats, and they screeched and scratched all night. At least they ate the bugs, so I stopped getting bitten. I was glad to leave. Check-in both times took a lot of time with reception, and the power was out for long stretches on both nights.

I paid for a room, but the air conditioner didn't work, and the staff seemed quite nonchalant about finding a solution. The service was poor and I was very disappointed. I regret staying there and can't recommend hotel safari to anybody. For your peace of mind, don't choose hotel sa. You won't get your money's worth.

The toilets didn't work, and management wouldn't honor my online reservation at the promotional rate shown on the booking website. Power to everything shut off as soon as you left the room, so you couldn't keep the air conditioning on while sitting at the bar and let the overheated room cool down.

The place was unnecessarily expensive, and I regret staying there. A cab man brought me straight from the boarder and assured me it was nice. I paid for three nights, then changed rooms because I didn't like the first one, so I was paying for two nights. When I decided to check out the next morning, they refused to return any of my money. They said I should have told them I might leave, and they would have refunded part of the payment if I had, but since I hadn't, there was nothing they could do. I was angry and frustrated, and left without getting my money back. Poor management ☹️ 🙄
