Cambridge Beaches Resort & Spa

The location is beautiful, though a bit out of the way if you want to explore the rest of the island. The room and grounds were lovely and clean, and most of the staff were excellent. Breezed staff and food were excellent too. The lunch staff at Pastels were the exception: they left us waiting about six minutes, then the first thing they said was that they were closing in 20 minutes. We felt unwelcome and rushed.

The views across the resort were breathtaking, there wasn't a bad one anywhere. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, the food was amazing, and the staff were so kind, friendly, and accommodating. Nadja and Danita were incredible to work with while planning our wedding there. Thanks to them, the process was mostly stress free and ended with the best day of our lives.

The evening meals in the main restaurant were excellent and one of the best parts of our stay. We had a wonderful trip and made great memories, though the property felt more like a hotel than a full resort. We visited in the off-season, which may have shaped some parts of the experience, but a few things could be improved. The room was clean overall, but there was food left in the fridge from previous guests. Mornings were also inconvenient: it was surprisingly hard to find reliably hot coffee, and when we missed breakfast and went to the pastry bar, all we could get was a muffin and cold coffee. The internet was unreliable and unstable throughout our stay. Restaurant service could feel disorganized, and posted opening hours didn't always match what was actually available. The main restaurant also seemed to close now and then for weddings and private events with little notice, leaving guests with few dining options. A wedding party stayed beside our room. It didn't bother us, but with the property so quiet, holding events farther from guest rooms might help other guests. We asked in advance for late checkout because of our travel schedule, but it wasn't confirmed until the morning we left and cost an extra $100. That felt unnecessary given how quiet occupancy was. The property is some distance from the main attractions, so renting a car is highly recommended. We rented from Walter, who was incredibly kind and helpful and made exploring the island much easier. With some operational improvements, this place could feel like a true resort.

The resort is beautifully laid out and in a great location. Dining and cleanliness were fantastic, the service was high quality, and everyone was very nice. I didn't expect so much wear and tear at a 5 star resort: torn screens, cracked floor tiles, worn floor boards near the pool, an old bathroom door, and some damaged cart paths and walkways outside.
