Aman Hills Hotel

The hair dryer was faulty when we were about to leave. Smoke came out, and there was literally fire inside it. It made us panic. What a day! We were meant to get breakfast for two, but when we arrived before 10am there was no food left. The staff member said our room number wasn't on the list, made a phone call, then joked in front of me, a guest, “kau turun dgni aku masak”. Very rude. She walked off without apologising. When I asked if everything was okay, she just said “duduk kita dulu” and went back to the kitchen. We waited, but she was busy washing dishes and nothing came out. In the end we got only cold spaghetti, three pieces of bread, and bubur nasi. When we asked, a male staff member said “habis sdh”. Ridiculous. My husband had to keep asking the kitchen for hot drinks and even tried turning on the food warmer himself. The hospitality was very poor and the staff seemed untrained. After this, it's not surprising that many reviews here are negative.

Bring an extra toothbrush. The hotel feels cheap for what it costs, and breakfast was very disappointing for $10 per adult and $5 per child, with a stingy selection. There's no child-friendly pool, and the TV had no channels.

There was no water in the room when we checked in. The host hadn't made sure it was ready, and after we complained three times, we waited over 45 minutes for bathroom water with no response. We had arrived with high expectations but were so disappointed that we checked out right away. The host wouldn't accept the mistake or give us a refund.

Breakfast had very few choices, and the room was small. Staff barely seemed to do their jobs: they didn't check the food often, so it wasn't refilled until it had run out, leaving customers waiting and confused. The table wasn't kept clean either, with spoons and food leftovers left there. It felt unhygienic, and the room looked nothing like the advertisement photos, so I felt scammed. The walls are so thin we could hear people walking, running, and playing outside our room, and we couldn't sleep well. Some workers also stood outside every night talking and laughing loudly, which was very inconsiderate. The AC ran all day at its lowest temperature with turbo fan on, but I was still sweating at night. The TV glitched and was broken; customer service said it was “normal”. The bathroom lock didn't work, the shower temperature could suddenly get very hot, and the toilet was leaking too. After reading other reviews, it seems they don't care about fixing anything. There's been no improvement or effort to do better. For what we paid, it was a waste of money. Respectfully, I would never return and wouldn't recommend this place.
