Riverside Residence by Gina Suite

There’s a nice living room, though it was a bit dusty. The rest of the experience at Gina suite was disgusting and revolting. Cleanliness seems to be a foreign concept there. I tried posting this on Agoda and Booking.com, but I think they deleted my comment. Don’t book Gina suite expecting a lovely riverside view from a comfortable bed, clean furniture, and plenty of amenities. The promised basics were missing or didn’t work: no kettle, no iron, and the cable TV wasn’t working. And the “riverside” view was a road, basically a river of asphalt outside the window. They should call it “Roadside Residence by Gina Palsuite.” There was a revolting layer of mould on the furniture, and a sticky residue on the table in front of the bed. The self certified hygiene measures clearly didn’t mean basic cleanliness was being met. I also had plenty of cockroaches for company. I paid a premium for the location and false promises, but the place was nauseating and I checked out early, after less than three hours. The staff wondered why, so I told them honestly and nicely. They seemed apologetic and offered to have their cleaning staff check the room, which I refused because I’d rather have another room. They said none were available, even though the app showed some rooms still available. I didn’t argue about their refund policy because the place was simply not stayable. Now it’s easy to see why they don’t offer refunds. I checked into another hotel with higher standards and better prices.
