My BFF brought me here to stay, and I was surprised to find the room newly renovated and packed. It was good, and I could get a decent rest, though it wasn’t soundproof and could be noisy. I wish room service cleaned a bit better. The internet pass only covers two devices, so for more devices you need to get another pass from reception.

The atmosphere has a nostalgic feel, and the rooms are clean. Grand City Hotel at Batu Bersurat is old but decent, and works well for a short stay if you don’t mind older interiors.

Cafés, restaurants, and a supermarket are right downstairs, so the location is hard to beat. The staff are helpful, the rooms are great value, and there’s free parking. Brunei is incredibly peaceful and safe, perfect for a relaxing stay!p9

It was a good stay and worth the price. The lobby has had no air conditioning lately, though. Even the staff had to rely on a standing fan, and it felt humid during the hot hours. Slain atu.

It’s affordable, and the location is great, close to the airport. Can’t complain too much.
