The café downstairs was the one bright spot: it was clean, and the staff there were kind. The hotel stay itself was awful. We booked two rooms, neither had hot water, and the water in one swung from cold to scalding while the other stayed the same. A handyman came back at least five times to check, and he seemed to be trying, but the problem wasn't fixed. The receptionist was rude when we asked about it, saying we'd already complained that day. Earlier, we'd only asked for another key card because four of us had just one, and were told no. She said someone would check at 9:00 pm; it was 8:31 pm, so that wait seemed reasonable. The rooms were filthy. I wiped the light switches, doorknobs, and sofa armrests and uncovered gross yellow and black grime. We found ants in cupboards and drawers when we got plates for a birthday cake, and food was still stuck to the plates. There were odd stains on several towels and pillows. Point the shower head at the wall and the whole bathroom floods. The pool was very dirty, and the gym was temporarily closed, so we couldn't use either. The Wi-Fi in both rooms wouldn't connect. When we ran out of toilet paper in both bathrooms, we asked for two rolls. The receptionist said the maid would come up, again rudely. The maid brought just one roll, so we had to carry it between bathrooms. Easily the worst hotel stay I've had.

The beach is the standout here, just a short distance away, and it looks lovely. The hotel could make more of that in its advertising. There are also restaurants within walking distance, Starbucks across the road, and Coffee Bean, EasyWay, and Soon Lee Supermarket in the same building. The location is prime. We paid 75 BND for one day in an apartment room, and I don't think the stay was worth that price. The room was decent enough, with clean-looking, comfortable beds, complimentary shampoo and bath gel, and thankfully hot water. The apartment felt old and could use some minor work. The lock was a little wonky and needed a hard push or pull. Our first keycard didn't work, but the receptionist moved us to another room where it did. One of the three air conditioners stayed warm no matter what I did with the controls; the other two were ice cold. Staff were generally friendly when we had complaints. We couldn't try the pool because it was raining heavily. Unless something major changes, I doubt we'll come back.

The room didn't feel worth the $60 I paid. Honestly, I think it was closer to $3-5 a night in value. I asked for a refund for the one night I stayed, but since I booked through hotels.com, I couldn't sort it out directly with the hotel. Similar-priced places nearby seemed cleaner, and I'd recommend other hotels instead. The room smelled musty, and the old bedding was uncomfortable. The whole place felt more like a run-down budget motel than a hotel with any real standard. The pool was green and looked neglected. I couldn't imagine using it, and it was disappointing to see facilities in that state. I said it looked like it hadn't been maintained properly for at least five years. The TV didn't have any channels, and cleanliness across the hotel was below basic standards. This was the worst hotel experience I've had. I'd like the hotel to address these concerns and explain what it plans to do.

No greeting, no thank you, no sign of appreciation. I checked out today after paying the full amount the night before, and wasn't expecting another form to sign. When I asked if anything else was needed, the receptionist snapped, “You don't want your invoice?” Then she said she needed my signature for it. I signed, and she still didn't thank me or show any courtesy. Very bad hospitality from the front desk. Hotel management should train staff properly. There's no reason to speak to a paying customer that way. Look into it and do something. I'm never coming back.

The light switch was broken and could have injured my wife. It also cut the electricity in the room, and there was no staff available to fix it. The receptionist seemed nervous and didn't apologize, just gave us another room. There was only one person at reception, and the service felt rude and completely unprofessional. They don't seem to care about customers. Not worth the money, wouldn't recommend 👎🏻
