The room hadn't been prepared, so we had to ask for toilet paper, soap, and towels, and there were hairs on the pillowcase. The staff were rude and distant, and the man gave me a strange feeling. They charged us 100 Bolivianos for checking out late, and he seemed sly and pleased about it. The whole hotel was empty. It's a very strange place, currently calling itself ‘Crystal Hostel’, presumably to avoid the bad reviews here and on Trip Advisor. I wouldn't recommend it.

The price is good, but there's plenty of room for improvement in how customers are treated. The front desk staff should be more attentive and friendlier. Ramiro, who introduced himself as the hotel owner, should be polite to guests and act professionally.

We had booked two nights but didn't get to stay. When we arrived at 10pm, they acknowledged the booking and then said there were no rooms available. The receptionist spoke little or no English and wasn't helpful, just pointing us toward another hotel and telling us to ask there. I'd avoid this place. Hotel Sagarnaga is around the corner and good value.

We stayed three days and nobody came to check on or clean the room. Some days after leaving, we found bugs on our bodies and had to take cortisone and antihistamines. We're really suspicious of this hotel. Really, really sad.

The only good thing was the location. The front desk service was rude and unclear, and we weren't given towels or soap. The bathroom light didn't work, and the towels and sheets were stained and dirty. Probably the worst hotel experience I've had.
