We had a great family lunch here. The food was excellent, and the mountain views were brilliant. It’s a nice break from the rush of La Paz. I fully recommend it.

The architecture is original, the setting and view are enchanting, and the service makes you feel at home. The food was exceptional too. Apparently the new Chef came from a top restaurant in Santa Cruz and is working to bring that same standard here. I can’t overstate how special this place feels. I’d recommend it for a memorable day out, a great meal, a family getaway, or a romantic evening.

A peaceful, lovely spot with beautiful scenery. The dishes are nicely prepared from traditional food, and the food was really good. It gets windy, so be ready for that.

We were here one weekend in January and paid a lot, $1050bs per person, but the food was amazing and our room had a jacuzzi. Last weekend we came back for the full moon with friends, as a final trip before some of them moved away. We got the same room, but this time the jacuzzi didn’t work. At first they said the water heater needed fixing. The next day they said it did work, but it was too cold outside for it to heat the water properly. Our group couldn’t even shower during the stay. It was freezing, and our friends weren’t given space heaters. They had to “borrow” one from an empty room. The restaurant can only fit one large group inside, and there are no heaters in the glass enclosed areas. There was a big group there, so the tea we ordered to warm up arrived cold. It cost $10bs per person, and they hadn’t told us that drinks weren’t included with meals. This time, nobody told us the food options. They only asked whether we wanted vegetarian meals. Two of the three non-vegetarian meals one night went uneaten because they were terrible, and nobody asked what was wrong with them. The last disappointment was a $40bs per person charge for a camp fire. At other ecolodges, it costs $40bs total, however many people are there. They said they’d offer a discount or refund since we’d paid a lot for a jacuzzi that never worked and couldn’t bathe for the three days we stayed. Instead, I got a $100bs voucher, less than 5% of what we paid and not even enough for a full meal there. Go for the food and view. Don’t stay overnight.
