The location in central La Paz makes it easy to get to all the main sights. Our rooms were spacious, and the service was the best. The water pressure was amazing, especially welcome for anyone with long hair. We had a drink at the bar with lovely Victor, and breakfast with superlovely Yasmir was amazing. She even hugged us goodbye. She's the best!

I don't usually leave travel reviews, but I had to this time. Korean travelers, please be sure to read the posts on South America Love. The rooms were disgusting, smelly, and noisy. The shower had no drainage, so soapy water rose to my ankles, and the squeaky wooden doors kept me from sleeping. The hotel seems to do everything it can to overcharge guests, saying it uses the illegal, unofficial US$ exchange rate. For example, at other La Paz hotels a US$100 room comes to around BOB 700 whether you pay cash or card. Here they charged BOB 1,200, about US$174. Paying by card showed $174 on the bill despite my US$100 booking. It feels like all they want is to take as many US dollars as possible from tourists. Check the lowest-rated reviews too, since multiple people describe similar experiences. There are plenty of more affordable, welcoming, honest hotels nearby. Otherwise, I'd suggest staying in quieter, lower-altitude areas such as Calacoto, where hotels are much safer, cleaner, and, again, honest.

A lovely boutique hotel in La Paz's Latin Quarter, and it stays quiet despite being right on the Prado. Just keep in mind that some rooms don't have real windows facing outdoors.
