Hotel Rey Palace

I suggested this hotel to a friend who wanted somewhere safe and well located. I didn't expect it to operate like an ordinary bar, with extremely loud music and people drinking heavily. The noise was far beyond what seems reasonable in a hotel where guests pay to rest and sleep. There's an event venue in the middle of the hotel, and the administration seemed to place no restrictions or show respect for the guests.

The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the hot water stayed consistent. The staff were helpful, and for the price you get what you need. It's an old hotel with a basic breakfast, and the Witch Market is a 20-minute walk away.

The rooms are a good size, the beds are comfortable if you prefer a firm mattress, and breakfast was very good. But there was almost no water in the hotel, and the dark, dingy corridors and lift feel very dated. It's an average cheap hotel, so I'd only choose it if you're on a budget and need a place for one night.
