Las Brisas Sur

This was the most terrible hotel I’ve ever stayed in, despite having traveled to many countries across almost every continent. There was no water and no amenities, though it was clean. Be aware they might charge a BIG AMOUNT for hotel supplies: they made me pay $95 for a table, saying it was damaged and they had to buy a new one.

The staff were amazing and extremely helpful throughout my stay. The hotel was very clean, with large, modern rooms. I didn’t see AC in the rooms, but the common areas are cooled, and it wasn’t a problem at the time of year I visited. They offer an airport shuttle, which would have cost about the same as Uber. Many of the reception staff speak at least a little English. I’d happily stay here again.

We loved the quiet, safe neighborhood, with lots of very good restaurants a 7-15 minute walk away. The hotel is about 300 feet lower than downtown La Paz, which worked well for us when looking for somewhere at a lower altitude. Irpavi Teleferico is just a few minutes away on foot, and makes it easy to get downtown. The rooms are clean, the temperature is comfortable, and the artisan details are lovely. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to make you feel at ease. Breakfast is top notch, with omelets made to your liking, and the breakfast room is on the seventh floor with a breathtaking view.

The rooms are clean and good, and breakfast is solid. Otherwise, it’s great, though I’d expect a bit more for the price. The beds aren’t especially comfortable, with cheap mattresses.
