Wooden Wasi Hostel

This hostel has potential, with a good common area, but there was only one terrible beer brand in stock. Our room was cold and dark, had no curtain, and the six of us had just one plug socket between us. Wi-Fi didn’t reach the room, the breakfast was bread and rotting bananas, and the showers were cold. It’s clearly a new hostel and these problems need fixing. We nearly missed our 900bol Death Road trip because they locked the hostel, even though there’s no security between the street and rooms during the day. At night, the staff went to bed, locked reception, and padlocked the front gate.

After coming back from Huyana Potosí very sick from the altitude, I was looked after by the father and daughter here for two days like family. They kept checking on me, looked around for medication, and brought tea or bread so I could try to eat. I felt safer and more cared for than I ever have in a hostel. It felt like home, and I was a little sad to leave once I felt better. The hostel has hot showers, but ask them how to use them before saying the water is cold haha. There’s also a nice room for pool or ping pong, and a huge place to wash and dry your clothes, all in a great central location. If you want a place with lovely people, I think you’ve found your hostel. Una vez más, gracias para todo ❤️

A really cozy hostel run by a super sweet family. The beds are comfortable, there’s a pool and ping pong table, and everyone is so friendly. Muchas gracias Adrianna, Allan, Julian y todo la familia :)

Great Wi-Fi, hot showers, and a lovely atmosphere. Best hostel in town. Wish I’d stayed longer.
