Hotel Ambaibo

On 37°c days, the big pool the place is built around is very handy. The two toucans wandering around freely are a delight, too. The owners don't speak English, but they're really helpful. My room was basic, comfortable, and air conditioned. For rural Bolivia, this is about as good as you're likely to get.

The owner did what he could to make things work for us. We arrived in Rurre on an overnight bus and he let us check in early, then use the outdoor shower facilities after our jungle and Pampas trip. The rooms were a decent standard, and hot water was readily available. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

I had three great days here. My room was clean, and there's a big pool with lots of room around it to relax. The owner was helpful and let me keep using the pool until it was time to leave on my last day. Ps they are not on booking but you can walk in and book.

The pool is really nice in summer, and the facilities are very good. The air conditioning is awesome, and there was enough hot water for showers. Breakfast was so-so, and the counter staff didn't speak fluent English, which was a little inconvenient for us.
