The pool is small but usable, and the rooms are comfortable in a good location. Breakfast has very little choice, just scrambled or fried eggs. Service in general and at breakfast was slow, and paying by card was poorly arranged because the readers weren't charged. We also had to ask for basics like drinking glasses and a trash can, but they brought them once we did. Sound carries clearly through the walls, including from the inner garden.

I might stay here again, though the stay was just okay. I was glad to have a balcony room because the other rooms looked so small I might have felt claustrophobic. I didn't use the balcony, but it did help dry some clothes. The room itself was okay and the air conditioning worked. The pool is extremely tiny, with stairs, but it was fine for dipping my feet in. Breakfast was okay, though the two bacon pieces were miniature. I have to watch my carbs, so I didn't eat at the cafe except for breakfast. Someone told me the croissant looked better than it tasted, and since he was French, I figured he knew croissants and skipped it. The staff missed my wake-up call, then didn't want to serve breakfast, but after I told them someone had been incompetent and not woken me, they did serve it. The Google TV was nice, but confusing to use; the lady said she'd come up and turn it on, then forgot about me, just like the wake-up call. Directions for the TV would have made things easier.

Our flight was at night, so we checked out at midnight. Even though breakfast was included and already paid for, reception couldn't provide a small takeaway breakfast when I asked. For a 5-star hotel, that level of service is disappointing.

The bed was much too firm for me, but everything else worked well. The room had a mini fridge, hair dryer, effective air conditioning, and two complimentary bottles of water each day. WiFi was good, and the free breakfast had several choices. It's in a quiet spot, yet an easy walk to September 24 Plaza and nearby restaurants. The staff were very accommodating, including with airport transport arrangements if needed. Doble Chocolate, a bakery and restaurant, is attached, with its dining room inside the hotel. Check-in happens at the bar just inside the entrance rather than at a usual front desk.
