Nicholas was especially helpful, and the staff were helpful in general. The location is very central, with a clean private room and clean shared bathrooms.

We had an amount left to pay at check-in after booking through Hostelworld, but the manager and receptionist tried to charge more than the app showed. They used a very poor exchange rate and argued that this was how things worked in Bolivia, though we'd never run into that before. Be careful booking here. I wouldn't go there.

My money was stolen during my last three days there, and some of the cleaning staff weren't honest. The room rates also change daily, supposedly because the black market exchange rate fluctuates, but I don't think that's the real reason. Nico, the bar manager, was rude and unfriendly.

The location was perfect, and at around 55bs a night it was good value. I stayed one night in the six-bed female dorm. Each bed had a working light and plug, and the room even had a full-length mirror. The showers were strong and hot, the best I'd had in months, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I missed having lockers for valuables, and there wasn't much atmosphere, so 4/5.
