We had a lot of trouble checking in. First they said we had no reservation, then after an hour and a half of waiting and arguing, we got a room. Neither Agoda, where we booked, nor the hotel receptionist was helpful. I’m not using them again. The hotel sits in a beautiful, lush tropical garden, but the buildings are worn. The apartments are very large, though they have almost no kitchen utensils. Many seem to be lived in by locals, and the place felt deserted during the day. We had the pools and buffet breakfast to ourselves, but it got a bit boring. There’s a supermarket and some fast food restaurants outside, but little else of interest nearby, so you need a taxi to see anything else.

The pools are lovely, but the main one didn’t have enough beach chairs. The restaurant menu was limited, and the barman didn’t show up for work. They shouldn’t sell visitor tickets when there aren’t enough chairs.
