I booked Terrasol Apartments through Booking.com, then canceled within 24 hours after a reference I received said the area was a red-light district in Santa Cruz. The website hadn’t made clear that canceling would still mean paying the full amount for the supposed stay. They charged my card in full for a service I never received. When we contacted them, they said a refund wasn’t possible. Terrasol Apartments and Booking.com took my money, and I feel they acted like common white-collar thieves. Be careful when booking, especially with these companies in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia.
