La Escondida Hostal

The team was friendly and helpful, and I’d stay here again. It’s close to the UNESCO-listed old town and central market, with the main sights all walkable. Despite being central, it’s tucked away enough that traffic noise was minimal. The rooms are cozy, though the bathroom could use some mold removal. Breakfast is basic, but staff will happily make scrambled or fried eggs if you ask.

A beautiful place in Sucre, with a great location and a real sense of safety. The staff were welcoming, the rooms comfortable and spacious, and breakfast plentiful and delicious. Can’t wait to come back to Sucre.

The location is hard to beat, right across from the market and two blocks from the main square. Inside, there’s a little patio for fresh air and a cozy breakfast area, plus an open kitchen guests can use. Rooms were clean, the shower was great, and staff very friendly. This hostel went beyond what I expected, definitely recommend it.

After a month travelling around Peru and Bolivia, this was the first hostel that really felt worthy of the name. It’s a modern building without a colonial feel, but the rooms were spotless, the staff kind and helpful, and the location good. Loved the place with all my heart.
