Grand Windsock Bonaire

Villa 24 had three bedrooms, two bathrooms and lots of room, plus its own pool. The location near the airport was fantastic, and the staff were great and friendly. The beds felt a little firm at first, but we got used to them. We’d stay here again when we return. The beach club across the street was great for food and sunsets.

We spent 28 days in this beautiful two-bedroom, two-bath villa and plan to return to the resort again and again. It was modern, had every convenience, and the private pool was a great size, 15' x 10'. The place felt quiet, private and serene, while the excellent on-site Beach Club was only a hundred steps away, with oceanfront dining and direct reef access. Everything at the resort was clean, well maintained and top quality. The location was very convenient too, just three minutes from the airport and a short walk to the beach and prime snorkeling spots.

The restaurant across the street was an easy spot for a casual meal or dinner, with a stunning sea view. The wait staff were welcoming, friendly and knew their stuff. We stayed in a villa with a private pool, which made for a lovely mix of comfort and luxury. The landscaping between villas was beautiful and gave us a real sense of privacy, like having our own secluded retreat. Our stay at The Grand Windsock was brilliant. We'd happily stay there again and recommend The Grand Windsock to anyone visiting Bonaire.

We had a very relaxing stay in Villa 42 and would gladly recommend it. Te Amo Beach is close by, about a 5-10 minute walk, or you can drive and park for free. The reef there is beautiful for snorkeling. We also liked the hotel beach bar across a quiet street, tucked under palm trees. A ladder goes straight into clear water full of fish, and the bar serves drinks and very good food, with dinner in the evening too. The pizza was especially good, though it depends on whether the pizza chef is working, since it isn't always available. The villa is in a group of similar homes but still feels private and peaceful among the palms. You can sometimes hear planes landing, but it didn't bother us. Nights were very quiet and we slept well. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped, with a large clean refrigerator, an ice maker, plenty of pots and pans, and a capsule coffee machine. Four capsules were supplied on arrival, and you can buy more at the hotel. From the kitchen, we could step right onto a large terrace with a big dining table for the whole family, as well as a sofa and loungers. It was a lovely place for a quiet morning coffee. The bedrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Two rooms had wardrobes. There are two bathrooms, one outside the bedrooms and one attached to a bedroom, which gave parents and children useful privacy. The complex pool was nice, with lots of comfortable loungers, and was usually quiet, often nearly empty. We decided after two days to rent a car for five days, which made visiting beaches and grocery shopping much easier. Van den Tweel is a large Dutch supermarket with many Dutch products, though prices are higher than in the Netherlands. The apartment was very clean, and housekeeping came every four days. The one small drawback was that shower water pressure was sometimes weak, especially in the late afternoon at peak hours. Still, we had a comfortable, peaceful holiday with plenty of privacy and would gladly return.
