This pousada is ideal for nature lovers and off-road fans, but getting there means driving a good 4X4. At 1700m up, it has a wonderful view, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available. The rooms are comfortable, with great views of both sunrise and sunset. The only sounds are birds and crickets. The owners, Eloy and Marcia, are lovely and very helpful.

The ride in a 4x4 is part of the fun. When you arrive, it feels like an oasis, with beautiful scenery, rustic decor, and excellent food. There are only 6 chalets, so there’s plenty of privacy, plus good beds, a shower, and a fireplace. Eloy and the team were fantastic. I felt like I was catching up with old friends. Such a great stay!

The meals are all made on site, tasty, well prepared, and generous. The chalets are comfortable, with great-quality beds and sheets. I loved the peaceful setting, the beautiful views, all the nature, and the different trails. The owners provide a warm, personal welcome and are always around to help with tips for the best outings. Getting there requires a proper 4x4 jeep, trail bike, or similar vehicle. It’s a lovely place to rest, take in the views, and enjoy some peace and reflection. Well worth a visit.

The drive out already helps you leave the bustle of big cities behind. Once there, the fresh air, wonderful atmosphere, tasty meals, and warm welcome from the owners make for a great stay in tune with nature. It was really lovely. I just wish Sunday hadn't come around so quickly.

You feel at home here, and that sense of being cared for is what makes this place stand out. The hosts are wonderful, and the breakfast treats and other meals bring delightful new flavors to life. There are plenty of places to encounter nature, but the quality of life offered to guests is what really catches the eye. If you get the chance, take it. Staying at Pousada Do Morro Verde feels like a little piece of paradise on Earth, and you'll understand why once you've been.
