Pousada Fazenda São Pedro

Set amid breathtaking countryside, Fazenda São Pedro feels like a place I didn't think still existed. The farm is run by a wonderful, welcoming family, and the farmhouse, built in the late 18th century, has an authentic country feel with plenty of modern comforts. There’s lots to do, from milking cows in the morning to riding horses to nearby waterfalls, kayaking on the lake, or relaxing by the pool. You can also wander through orchards, pick a wide range of fruits used for delicious juices, jams, and liquors, or explore the gardens, paths, and trails. After a day of fun, enjoy a delicious Brasilian meal made with plenty of homegrown produce, then relax by a campfire on the veranda. It's unforgettable for all the right reasons. I hope to return very soon!

I stayed at Pousada Fazenda São Pedro for just 2 days, which felt too short. I came back to my city already thinking I'd like to return and spend a few more days there. It's a perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. The family atmosphere is warm and makes the pousada feel special, and the Minas Gerais food deserves a mention because it was so good. I had a very positive experience and recommend it.

We loved the food and the cozy place, with a waterfall nearby. Senhor João was so thoughtful and helpful on the horseback ride. Ike, dona Neuza, and Seu Fábio made us feel so welcome, and everyone we met was kind and pleasant. It’s such a little paradise. I can’t wait to come back!

Our first stay at Fazenda Sao Pedro left us feeling strangely reluctant to go anywhere else. The quiet, the generous and delicious meals, and the easy conversations with people we love all felt like things we’d been missing. The dogs and horses were delighted to have us around, too. It made us wonder how we’d ever manage to leave. Our grandparents, siblings, cousins, and closest friends live there and are so happy to see us again. How did we stay away so long?
