Ecopousada Toca do Guará

The access road may be tricky for lower cars when it rains, but the pousada itself was a real delight. The view from the chalets is spectacular, and ours, Ninho do Amor, was charming and very romantic. Thanks to Rodrigo, Marcos, Carol and Léo for making us feel so welcome and at home. The breakfast was a 10, prepared with so much care. The pousada is fully ecological, and the beautiful Rio São Miguel pool is right on the property, with water at an ideal temperature. We were lucky enough to catch the first sunset of 2026, and it was perfect. So grateful!

There’s a wonderful trail on the property down to Rio Miguel, a real gift from nature. The chalets are beautiful and well looked after, and the service was impeccable. Rodrigo welcomed us so warmly and was always attentive and helpful. The whole place is peaceful, quiet, cozy and simply enchanting. Congratulations on creating such a lovely space. I already want to return! ✨👏

Dina and her husband were wonderful hosts. They welcomed us and made a delicious breakfast every day. We could pick the items for our basket and choose the time, which we loved. There was cuscuz, omelette, tapioca, juice, coffee and more, all delicious. We stayed in Ninho do Amor, a rustic but comfortable chalet with a lovely view, a bathtub and shower. The river access on the property is fantastic, and a trail leads to the best swimming holes. It’s also fun to explore the rocks. Bring a snorkel: underwater is like another world, with incredible rocks and fish. We loved the Rio São Miguel so much we skipped the other hikes. The water was almost warm and just the right temperature. It was a real rest and nature immersion for us. There’s no kitchen in the chalet, but the shared kitchen by the reception deck is beautiful, with lots of tables, chairs and a hammock, plus another great view. We’ll definitely be back.

The view from Ninho do Amor is unreal, the bathtub was lovely, and breakfast was incredible. Rodrigo welcomed us so warmly. It was simply the best place I could have picked for our honeymoon, and every cent was worth it. I’ll definitely return.
