Villa Annapurna

We loved our stay in Suite 2, and breakfast was excellent. The staff treated us exceptionally well. Thank you, Wellington, Dielly, and Ronicya, for the warm welcome and kindness, and thanks to the whole restaurant Pura Chapada team as well. One downside: we understand the smell of marijuana may be part of the local culture in Chapada, but the strong odor bothered us quite a bit and at times we had to keep the doors and windows closed.

The view is wonderful, but there was no reception when I arrived and I waited around 40 minutes. Breakfast was simple.

The place is beautiful and easy to get to, but it gets very dark at night and doesn’t feel safe. There’s no reception, so you arrive and have to look around for someone to help. Since they have a bar on site, its staff end up helping guests find their rooms. The parking area and stairs have no lighting or motion sensors, so I had to use my phone flashlight to get around. The worst part was that we couldn’t use the pool because it was very cold, even though the listing says it’s heated. There was no hot water in the bathroom, either in the shower or the hydromassage tub. You pay a lot and can’t enjoy what the listing promises. The scenery alone doesn’t justify the cost. With no reception, there’s also nobody to turn to when something goes wrong.
