Villa Pontinha

The owner, Sr. Artur, was so friendly, and we really enjoyed staying here. It’s a simple but cozy inn with clean rooms, great beds and pillows, and everything worked perfectly: air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi, minibar, and hot shower. Breakfast is included, the small pool was clean, and there’s parking. It’s a pleasant place with good value and a handy location near the little town center, restaurants, and shops. Icaraizinho is a magical place. We’d recommend it and hope to come back, if God wills.

I was here for work and found it quiet. There was internet, a nice breakfast area, and a good breakfast. The owners were available.

You can do a lot on foot from Villa Pontinha, thanks to its location. There’s parking inside the inn, and they help arrange tours. The people there were especially attentive and welcoming. Breakfast has plenty of choice: coffee, milk, fruit, yogurt, juice, eggs, tapioca, bread, cuscuz, and cake. The rooms have wonderful mattresses and pillows, yes, four pillows on the bed, plus an electric shower, air conditioning, and a minibar.

I had a terrible stay at this inn during New Year’s week. The room was dirty, from the walls to the bathroom, and the toilet was loose. The handheld bidet shower and sink leaked, and there was a sewage smell. I’m not sure the bed linen had been changed. I asked to move rooms, but the inn was full. The worst part was the water, which was light brown. I bought bottled water to brush my teeth and went to friends’ rented house to shower. I even tried to switch inns, but they were all full. Breakfast items weren’t replenished. Basic things like butter and sweetener were missing from the buffet. There’s no room service, so you have to ask for the bathroom bin to be emptied or for towels to be changed. The pool water was greenish and dirty. The inn urgently needs maintenance across the board.
