Pousada São José

Breakfast was good, the rooms were clean, and the staff were nice.

Good accommodations in a great place.

The service was wonderful, especially Telina and Raí, who I'll remember fondly. The room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked really well. The TV and minibar were fine too, nothing to complain about. Breakfast was spectacular, with lots of choice: different fruits, tapioca, couscous, eggs made in all sorts of ways, cakes, sweets, and more. I loved it. My experience was wonderful.

The cook was the one bright spot. She was attentive and cheerfully made us a delicious coffee. The rest of the stay was awful, and I'm glad I left early the next day. We arrived close to midnight after driving across three states, exhausted. The receptionist showed no empathy and put us in a room with no window, right by the garage. The shower only dripped a few drops of water. When I raised it, he said I could use the reception bathroom, which had no toilet paper. I had asked to pay by credit card, but he charged my bank account by debit instead, and added a surcharge. There was rubbish piled in front of the inn, and the place looked ugly. I never want to have this kind of experience again.
