The hotel has a great view, and the price was quite reasonable. Breakfast is included. Shopping Piratas is about 1.5 km away, and I walked there, which felt very safe. If you’d rather take an Uber, it costs around 12 reais, so that worked out well too.

The room was spacious, with a bed, TV, kitchen with the main utensils, and a bathroom. We booked a second-floor suite with a sea view, and the view was lovely. The terrace on the third floor looked beautiful too. Breakfast was simple but tasty, and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to. The fridge in our room had still and sparkling water, chocolate bars, and Heineken, at prices similar to local shops. There were some things that could be better. The pousada is up a hill on a very narrow street, and the garage is open without a gate. When we arrived, the floor hadn’t been fully cleaned and there were some hairs on it. The Wi-Fi didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our stay. The terrace had a lovely view, but wasn’t as well maintained as it looked in the photos, with cupboard doors loose or falling off. We also had a day of heavy rain and found that the stairs to the room and terrace are uncovered, which can make access difficult or risky. We only needed a room to sleep in, so the stay was good overall, though those details fell short. We’d still stay there again.

The employee was kind. Breakfast was simple but good, the parking was good, and the terrace was nice.

The streets are narrow for vehicles, so drivers need some skill. Traffic moves slowly, though, which makes it easier.
