Hotel Jóia Fina

We couldn’t find vacancies elsewhere, so we decided to stay here. The location is good, but the hotel is very dirty, even the stairs leading to the rooms. At night, the main door is closed, so you have to go through the restaurant, which is an annex. The kitchen area and the stairs to the restaurant were the dirtiest parts of the whole hotel. There was old, accumulated grime and food scraps scattered on the floor. We’ll never come back, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The bathroom was very small, and the minibar had food scraps in it when we arrived. The TV didn’t work. From the entrance to the rooms, everything was extremely dirty. The place looks abandoned. After 8 p.m. you can’t come in through reception, you have to enter through the pizzeria annex. I don’t recommend it.

The only person who saved this stay was a very attentive restaurant employee. When we asked the receptionist about the missing curtain, she said all she could do was give us a blanket to use instead. We couldn’t hang it ourselves, so we asked her to call someone from the restaurant. He managed to buy a curtain and fix the problem. When we arrived, the room was filthy: banana peel in the bin, lots of dirt under the beds, a strong smell of old butter, and a very dirty minibar. The hallways were messy too, with a broom and squeegee against the walls, cleaning products left in the middle of the corridor, toilet paper and soap placed on top of a fire extinguisher, and a hose running above the stairs. It didn’t give a good impression. At night, the hotel door is locked and there’s no receptionist on duty. To get back in after a certain hour, you have to walk some distance through the hotel restaurant, which is confusing. The garage is a warehouse, and if you need to leave in the middle of the night, there may be nobody to open it, so you can’t get the car. We don’t recommend this place. It urgently needs better cleaning, organization, and service.

The service was awful and rude. The reception, stairs, and room were all dirty, and there was trash in the garage, where there could even be rats. There was no receptionist. Before we arrived, they told us we could come and go at any hour, but once we were there, they said we had to be back at the hotel by midnight. Be careful not to fall for it. They sent photos that were completely different from the rooms.
