Vila Santa Hotel

Really good.

At Vila Santa Hotel, the room was simple but comfortable for resting and kept well organized. Breakfast was fresh and tasty, with a good enough selection. The staff were polite and helpful, and the location made getting to the city's main spots easy, whether you're sightseeing or on a pilgrimage. Great value for money. I'd gladly stay again.

The location was great, and the reception area was clean and organized, but the room had no outlets except the one used for the minibar. The bathroom had no toilet seat, and the room was dirty. The pool looked like a green, filthy swamp. The receptionist said I was lucky to have been given a room with air conditioning, which was a shame given the good location and tidy reception.

I don't like leaving low ratings, but some places need to hear about their service so it might improve. People pay for a reasonably decent stay, after all, and I was deeply disappointed with this “hotel.” I know it's not five-star, but the basics should still be taken care of. The staff showed no basic courtesy and seemed unhappy to be there. I'd say good morning and get no response. They didn't accept it when guests pointed out problems and treated us dismissively. As others have mentioned, the bed was made with a single-bed sheet that didn't cover it properly. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. I was here a month earlier too, when a water tank leak left us without water and water ran down through the elevator, but no employee did anything about it. I came back this month thinking these things happen, but now I believe it's neglect at the place, not just bad luck.
