Seeing my first giant anteater and southern tamandua up close was a real highlight, and our guides were friendly and good at their jobs. The rest of the stay was more mixed. Staff at the Pousada seemed annoyed we were there, and the place didn’t feel welcoming or lively, especially for the price. Our room was okay, but the AC never cooled it enough. Mice made noise at night and left droppings everywhere. The food was pretty average too. It wasn’t good value.

We loved the food and really enjoyed our stay. It was a wonderful chance to take in the Pantanal’s natural beauty up close. Thanks for such a lovely time.

The lodge grounds are home to plenty of animals, including parrots, tortoises, pigs and horses. We stayed for two days and found it very relaxing. The schedule was easygoing, with a boat trip, a horseback ride and a longer hike.
