Such a great place!

A nice place to stay.

The view is incredible, and the room is comfortable with a great internet connection. The reception guy and the cook were exceptionally kind, attentive, and polite. But it doesn’t really feel like an inn. It felt more like a boarding house where the owners live and rent out rooms. The owner wasn’t very friendly to guests and played music very loudly from early in the morning. He didn’t seem to care whether guests felt welcome. For two days in a row, there was also a lot of noise from the room above, with furniture being dragged morning and night. It sounded more like renovation and demolition work.

The location is quite close to Beach Park, about 2 km away. You can’t walk there, but an Uber is cheap. If you’re staying in Fortaleza for a while, I’d split the trip between a few days in Porto das Dunas for Beach Park and the rest in downtown Fortaleza for its lively spots. Downtown is very far from here, though, and I had some trouble finding an Uber or taxi to take us back to Porto das Dunas at night. One thing that bothered me was that only the staff or owner could open the gate, so whenever we went out, even late, we had to call him to let us back in. The pool is large and nice. The inn is simple, clean, and nicely decorated, with two huge, gentle dogs. Viccenzo, the owner, is an Italian man of few words but cordial. He got us into our room quickly when we arrived. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large, and there was a minibar. There was a TV too, but we couldn’t use it because there was supposedly no signal, and the staff couldn’t fix it. Breakfast was simple but had a good variety of breads, cakes, juices, cold cuts, and similar things.
