Pousada Casa Grande

The place felt safe and quiet, which was great for a family, and everyone was courteous and understanding. It’s peaceful, and the room had air conditioning, a minibar, a private bathroom, and a hammock. Breakfast was very good, fresh, varied, and plentiful. We did miss having even a small table and a chair in the room. When we ordered food, we had to eat on the bed. The pousada offers tours, but even after asking repeatedly, we couldn’t get information from the employee. Getting to the center can be inconvenient without your own vehicle. Local taxi drivers charge a fixed R$30 each way. I’d especially recommend it to people with their own vehicle.

The receptionist gave good service, but the pousada let us down in several ways. The room didn’t feel cozy, the sheets weren’t very clean, and the shower had poor water pressure. There was nowhere to hang towels or dry clothes. Breakfast was far below expectations, with few choices and no refills.

The internet didn’t work, a personal item went missing during my stay, and service was slow.

I had a terrible experience at pousada casa grande on June 19, 2025. The air conditioning in my room wasn’t working, and they tried to move me to a lower grade room even though all the rooms outside were vacant. When I refused, the manager was completely unprepared and started shouting in the pousada parking lot. I spent almost two hours outside with my suitcase, shoes, and belongings, without even basic help from the pousada. I had to get a refund and look for somewhere else to sleep at 10:08 at night. At 10:58, I still hadn’t found a place in Barreirinhas. I have photos and videos showing how the manager shouted in the parking lot for all the guests to hear and see, and showing the lower grade rooms.
