Pousada Estrela da manhã

A very pleasant pousada, with a calm atmosphere. The staff were attentive and easy to talk to, and the room was spacious and clean.

We came as a group of 20, and everyone loved the place and its facilities. Fran at reception welcomed us warmly, and we were well accommodated. The rooms were clean and cozy, with air conditioning, a minibar, and an electric shower. There are pools and a peaceful, tree filled outdoor area. My stay was really good overall, and the people working at the pousada were very welcoming. The place was clean, attractive, and well organized, though it's far from the center. The room was simple but nice, with no minibar, and the basic shower didn't get very hot. Breakfast was reasonable.

The staff made our first day easier after airport problems delayed us. The girls let us into our room early and still served us breakfast. We spent 8 days at the pousada, which feels welcoming, peaceful, and full of trees. It’s about a 25-minute walk to the center, or 8 minutes by taxi or motorcycle taxi, and that quiet setting is part of its appeal. It’s also a lovely place to relax by the pool and enjoy nature when you don’t have an excursion planned. The manager is so sweet, and Fran at reception is always ready to help. Lia and Cati deserve special mention: they start breakfast at 5 in the morning and finish after making dinner for guests at 8 at night, every day of the week. They’re two of the hardest-working people we’ve ever seen, and they’re still cheerful and helpful. I hope they get a day off now and then. We loved you, ladies. You look after the pousada like nobody else.
