A wonderful place.

Fabíola is a wonderful person, and the staff were extremely kind and attentive. Still, the hotel service left a lot to be desired, and I'm not sure I'd return. I booked 24 hours ahead, but when I arrived the room wasn't ready, and they didn't even know which room I was supposed to have. I waited with three children until one was available. The air conditioner barely cooled, and the refrigerator provided for guests didn't cool anything. They offered cake for an afternoon snack, but when I asked, I was told it still had to be made and would take two hours. I gave up on it and ordered hot chocolate instead, which took a long time and was far too sweet. Breakfast wasn't served until after 8:30 the next morning, while all the guests were waiting. When it finally came out, we had to get a table and chairs from a stack and set them up ourselves. The staff are lovely, but the business needs better planning and management.

The lunch and dinner menu had plenty of choices. We had the steak strips cooked on a hot stone, and they were absolutely delicious. You pay for what you eat at checkout. The only thing I’d have liked was a breakfast with more variety and a wider selection of fruit. Otherwise, I have no complaints. This is a magical, peaceful place, with only the sounds of nature around you. The hotel farm is clean and well cared for, and service was impeccable. The owner, Fabíola, is very friendly and does her best to make guests feel welcome. The rooms are cozy and comfortable. It's a wonderful choice if you want quiet days surrounded by nature.

My son loved watching the cow being milked and made a point of saying goodbye to the animals. We found the other guests kind and friendly too. Photos and videos of Recanto don't prepare you for how calm and easygoing it feels once you arrive. The service is personal, and the food is made fresh to order with fresh ingredients, including homemade coconut milk. It was delicious and comforting. My son and I had a fantastic time, and we'll be back many times!
