Pousada da Lucinha

Waking up to birdsong and having everything right by Broadway made these days in Canoa wonderful. Dona Lucinha welcomed me into her cozy Chalé and was so kind and helpful. Seu Eric is great too, and Cristiano, who helps when needed, is a sweetheart. The Chalé looks just like the photos, with a lovely little garden, a clean, airy space, and plenty of kitchen utensils. There’s an electric shower, air conditioning, TV and more. Water and coffee cost extra, but they’re good quality. The dogs are gentle and calm, and Dona Lucinha’s sweets are dangerously delicious. I’ll definitely be back. Thanks for everything, I already miss it.

The location is hard to beat, less than a three-minute walk from the center of Broadway. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and breakfast was wonderful, clearly made with care. From the reservation confirmation right through to our departure, we felt more warmly welcomed at Pousada da Lucinha than anywhere else.

Lucinha and Eric are lovely hosts, and we’re sure to return. The outdoor area stays nice and cool, with birdsong or Eric’s good taste in music in the background. It feels like a little bit of paradise in the middle of Canoa, and the location is perfect, almost right on Broadway, the main nightlife street.

Such a peaceful place, lovely and really clean. D. Lucinha and her husband are wonderful people, and breakfast is delicious. The dogs bring so much joy. For me, it’s the best pousada in Canoa quebrada.
