Cabanas de Tucuns

A terrible experience. I live in Paraná and called ahead to reserve. I was already halfway through the trip, which takes a day and a night, when they cancelled. I had to find somewhere else in a rush while on the road.

We'd love to come back. The bungalows had everything we needed, and the igloos were really functional. There's a supermarket and a liquor store on the corner of the complex, with good prices and lots to choose from. The minivans from Búzios end right there, and it's only 200 meters from the beach. That beach is calm and uncrowded, my favorite in Búzios, and a great place to relax.

Getting around is easy because the Vans stop right outside the entrance, with frequent rides to all parts of the city, even at night. The cabins work well if you're mainly looking for somewhere to sleep while spending the day exploring. They're small, with room for at most four, and get extremely hot inside, so you'll need the air conditioning on much of the time. Outside it's cool and leafy, and the grounds have a playground and a game room. The nearby beach is very dangerous, many people have died there, so I recommend staying out of the water. It's also extremely cold.
