Hostel Lobo Inn Buzios

The place is falling apart, and I don’t think it should be taking guests in its current state. I booked a private room, but the double bed was just two single mattresses on a double frame. One of the frame’s legs was broken, so whenever it came loose, I had to go downstairs to get it fixed. The curtains were old and torn. The air conditioning only ran from 8 PM to 8 AM, and it wasn’t automatic. I had to tell them the window was closed before they would turn it on. When the toilet ran out of water, they told me to find a bucket. The hostel’s infrastructure was appalling. There was no comfortable common area, and no oven or stovetop, so forget cooking. They couldn’t even lend me plates or cutlery, and I had to buy my own. They didn’t help with anything. I honestly think the hostel should close temporarily, be remodeled, and modernized before receiving guests again. It was awful, and I deeply regret choosing it. I should’ve paid a little more to stay somewhere more decent and functional, like Numa Boa or Solar.

The place no longer exists under the same ownership. They’re still selling stays, but when you arrive, the business has changed hands. The new owner is great. Don’t book anything at hostel lobo inn!

The atmosphere and the place were excellent. I also got the chance to work there, and I’d highly recommend it.

The manager’s treatment of women is degrading, and the photos on display don’t show what the hostel looks like now. The place is falling apart, there’s damp everywhere, and the water is always running out. A very bad experience.
