Pousada Azul dos Búzios

It was nice, though a bit dirty. The food wasn't great, and it was noisy.

The location made the trip easy since it's right in the center and close to everything. Not having to drive was a blessing, and there's a nearby place with tasty food at a great price. I stayed two days. Paula was wonderful and very attentive, and the staff were polite. Paula told me there was no parking, but the street was quiet, and it really was very peaceful. The room was clean, the AC worked great, and the TV worked perfectly too, though I was there to explore, not watch TV, so it wouldn't have bothered me if it didn't. The pool was great and the water was clean. Breakfast was wonderful. The juice should be unsweetened, since everyone can add sugar to their own taste. I'll definitely come back.

The pousada badly needs renovation. The facilities are very old, and what you see in the photos isn't what you get. It wasn't clean, there was dust everywhere, the minibar was dirty and the room smelled unpleasant. Housekeeping didn't really happen: we requested service and all they did was change the towels, leaving the rubbish where it was. The shower was poor, barely let water through, didn't heat up, and leaked from above. The tiles had mold and the window pane was broken. The AC leaked water every day. When I complained about the broken window, they came and said it wasn't broken. It felt like complaints weren't welcome. The owners were nice to us at first, which almost made me hold back this comment, but the stay was so disappointing that other people should know. I also heard they don't accept criticism, and after that they stopped being nice. Breakfast wasn't very pleasant either. The food didn't seem fresh. The only good thing was that the city is wonderful. I don't recommend the pousada. We were disappointed, but couldn't move elsewhere, so we spent more time out in the street and came back just to sleep.
