Pousada Cores de Buzios

There’s a supermarket almost right across the street, plus a food shop with affordable prices and delicious food. The beach and town center are convenient to reach, and they include a complimentary afternoon snack. Breakfast is varied and filling. The bedroom has air conditioning, and the bathroom is spacious and comfortable. It’s not luxurious, but it’s nice and has what you need.

I stayed at the pousada for seven days and really liked it. The place was very clean and the value was great. Breakfast was simple but tasty, with cold cuts, fruit, breads, cakes, juice, tea, coffee, milk, and yogurt. They also offer a complimentary afternoon snack from 5 to 7, with coffee, tea, and cakes. Philip and Silvana stood out for how friendly they were. I had a very good stay and would definitely recommend it.

The power went out halfway through our seven-day stay, and the rooms smelled bad and were poorly maintained. The rooms with wooden floors had cockroaches. There was never anyone at reception, only an intercom to the administration office. The breakfast area was tiny for the number of rooms, so at busy times people had to wait. A complete fiasco.

This is a cozy, simple pousada with very attentive staff and an incredible location: one block from the city’s best-known and prettiest waterfront, and around a ten-minute walk from downtown. It’s only a B&B, though. If you see photos showing a pool, gardens, or similar features, those belong to another Sarata property in the chain, probably Sarata Ferradura or Sarata Tartaruga.
