Pousada Imperial

We'd recommend it! The welcome was fantastic, and the place had a really pleasant feel. Breakfast was delicious, and the room was great too, from the bed, towels, and shower to the care taken with cleanliness.

The pousada was clean, and the staff were great. Mr. Elis was especially kind. I arrived in Búzios in the middle of the night without anywhere to stay, and although he'd already gone to bed, he still answered and treated me warmly. I'd come back.

I've never felt so disrespected. The listing said our room had two double beds and free parking on site, but that wasn't true. They called the owner, who asked to speak to me. He admitted the listing was wrong and basically said that was that. When I said I wasn't satisfied and wouldn't pay the full booking price, since I expected a discount, he insulted me, told me to leave, said he already had plenty of problems, and said ****-se. A woman who had started working at the pousada the day before told me he was always like that and people didn't stay there long because of it. On top of that, the sheets were stained, the bathroom toilet was all wet, and I found a cockroach in there. Booking should be ashamed of making a place of this standard available to rent. I won't return, wouldn't recommend it, and hope nobody else has to go through what I did.

I got the rating wrong, it should be a 3. The place itself is comfortable and fine, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. They clean and make the beds every two days. Breakfast was completely inadequate: we got the same cake five days running, basically the leftovers from the day before, and there was no juice or fruit. When we checked out, the manager wasn't there. We left and nobody noticed.
