Pousada Ilha Branca Centro

Getting around Buzios is easy from here, with the center just a short walk away. The place has plenty of character, and although the rooms are small, they have what you need for a nice holiday. Everything was clean, and breakfast had a great selection of sweet and savory cakes. It starts at 8, though, so across my three days I only managed to eat there once since the excursions all set off early and the hotel couldn't offer an earlier breakfast. I'd recommend this hotel!

The rooms made for a comfortable place to unwind, they were bright, modern, roomy, and clean, and the whole property seemed well cared for. Ilhabranca Centro is easy to explore on foot because of its central location. Breakfast was fresh and varied, with plenty to choose from. It also felt like good value, and I'd happily recommend staying here.

We asked for room cleaning just once, and they did a spotless job, cleaning EVERYTHING. 10/10. The room also had a fan, air conditioning, and a mini-fridge, all working well. It was very bright, though, and there was NO SAFE or anywhere to hang a hand towel. Breakfast could have been better. The food didn't look appealing, and there wasn't much choice. The receptionist who handled our check-in and check-out seemed new and not well trained. Paloma and Leo, the other two receptionists, were consistently friendly and polite. Paloma was away a lot, but when she was there she was very attentive.

The location worked perfectly for staying in the Centro, and even if you arrive by bus, you can walk from the bus station. The service was excellent, the bed comfortable, and breakfast very good. We didn't use it, but guests can also use the facilities at the other pousada on João Fernandes beach. We loved this Pousada and will definitely come back on our next trip to Buzios.
